With a new illuminated sign, the AVIA Volt charging roof-parapet-and-profiled-lettering-for-rhv/" class="kb-auto-link">station in Hamburg Harburg is sending a clear message about modern e-mobility. Light and Sign was responsible for the design, manufacture and installation of the illuminated sign, as well as the lighting for the charging bays.
Modern illuminated advertising for AVIA Volt
For the new retail outlet in Hamburg Harburg, Light and Sign developed a lighting concept that combines brand impact with functionality.
The aim was to make the charging station visible from a considerable distance whilst ensuring that the charging points and parking spaces were evenly lit.
The following were implemented:
- 2 single-letter installations featuring the lettering ‘AVIA VOLT’ in Profile 8
- 16 linear LED downlights to illuminate the charging points
- Complete on-site assembly and installation

Profile 8: Individual letters with a strong visual impact from a distance
The two ‘AVIA VOLT’ letterings form the central element of the outdoor advertising. The red profile letters have been mounted on the roof structure of the charging park and ensure high visibility from various angles.
Profile letters are particularly well suited to modern brand identities, as they have a high-quality appearance and blend harmoniously into the architecture of a building or canopy.
The design impresses with its precise workmanship, uniform illumination and durable materials, making it suitable for long-term outdoor use.

16 LED downlights for safety and comfort
As well as brand signage, the functional lighting of a vehicle fleet plays an important role.
Light and Sign integrated a total of 16 linear LED downlights into the substructure of the solar carport. These provide even and pleasant lighting for the charging points and parking spaces.
Users benefit from this particularly in the evenings. Sockets, charging cables and controls remain clearly visible, and the entire charging area looks safe, modern and inviting.
Thanks to its energy-efficient LED technology, the lighting fits perfectly into the sustainable concept of a modern retail outlet.
Planning, manufacture and installation, all from a single source
